Data deletion request
⚠️ This action is irreversible
Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data including your profile, addresses, booking history, payment records, reviews, and notifications. Some transaction records may be retained in anonymized form for legal compliance.
How to delete your account
Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Open the TaskA mobile app
- Go to Profile → Delete Account
- Enter your password to confirm your identity
- Confirm deletion — all your data will be permanently removed
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email to support@taskaliving.com from the email address associated with your account with the subject line:
Please include your registered name and phone number in the email body so we can verify your identity. We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation once completed.
Option 3: Account Deactivation
If you prefer not to permanently delete your data, you may request temporary account deactivation instead. Your data will be preserved but your account will be inaccessible until you request reactivation. To request deactivation, email support@taskaliving.comwith the subject “Account Deactivation Request.”
What happens after deletion?
- Your account will be immediately deactivated and you will be signed out
- All personal data (profile, photo, addresses, notifications) is permanently deleted
- Booking and payment records are anonymized (personal identifiers removed)
- Your reviews are anonymized but the ratings remain for service quality transparency
- Anonymized transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Sri Lankan law
- This action cannot be undone — you will need to create a new account to use TaskA again
